We will discover the small village of Bordosedo (county of Covas do Rio), where we will participate in the process of extracting the precious “nectar”. Properly dressed, with bees stunned by the fumigation, we will remove from the beehive the boards full of honey that later will be subject to a centrifugation process in the extraction room.

The honey in the region has a dark color, because the predominant flower is the heather, which gives very peculiar characteristics.

Accompanying us on this discovery will have the company of the beekeeper, Mr. Manuel Vinagre, we will talk about the benefits and features of his honey. It will also explain the whole process of treatment of bees and their honey.
