The Villages Route happens in the county of Sul,  between the villages of Aldeia, Bodial, Fujaco, Maçagoso and Leirados

The route starts in Aldeia, crossing walking tracks before walked by folks coming from the hidden villages of the Mountains.

Towards Fujaco the landscape is full of contrasts, and the village is covered in slate stone, narrow streets and steep, and terraces planted with the strength of local villager’s arms.

Walking along the path towards Maçagoso, an abandoned village endowed with a vast chestnut trees forest that sounds like a multicolored and multifaceted puzzle. We will then follow to Leirados, a sunny village, famous for its oranges and birthplace of a wine with the same name.
