Traditional Farmers Market

The Traditional Farmers Market, held in the center of S. Pedro do Sul, intends to drive and promote the traditional family agriculture, promoting the commercialization of agricultural products, as well as provide consumers with quality products.

The aim is to create stronger links between the mountains, its people and its products, and the City, trying to appreciate more that the mountains and that there is produced.

This market is intended for farmers of the are who practice family agriculture, thus providing an opportunity to trade, while contributing to keeping alive the tradition of agricultural markets in rural areas, with the participation of consumers who are visiting the county.

In addition to the stalls of traditional agriculture products, this market consists of a series of parallel activities, some with the help of local associations and others activities organized by Association Aldeias de Magaio, such as food and craft workshops, activities for children and traditional live music.

The market is held in the Largo da Cerca (behind of S. Pedro do Sul’s City hall) on the third Saturday of each month.
